My name is Rachael Kaapu and I am a recent graduate of the University of Oregon. I am originally from Kamuela, Hawaii, where I was born and raised. In 2007, I moved to Eugene, where I studied and earned my B.A. degree in Journalism, Communication Studies and French.

I have a broad background in media relations, research and social media, however, I would like to expand my knowledge to include branding, product launches, event planning, crisis management, media training, and investor and employee relations. Industries that I would like to explore include hi-tech, hospitality and food.

In my free time, I enjoy riding horses, playing tennis and going to the beach. As a native Hawaiian, the ocean is a major part of my life. Traveling and exploration are also hobbies of mine. I am an animal lover and spend many hours walking and playing with my two adorable Dachshunds: Peanut and Cashew.
